‘Tis the Season 

 It’s the season for family gatherings, festivities and most important gifting and giving.  Holy Trinity has many outreach activities that needs your help!

The Amen House –  The Amen House is in need of $15. gift cards from Kroger or Walmart to purchase turkeys for Thanksgiving food baskets.  They also need canned items such as corn, sweet potatoes, yams, gravy, fruit, cranberry sauce and chicken broth.  Needed boxed items include stuffing mix, potatoes, cornbread mix, and desserts.  If you get cake mix, don’t forget the frosting. Due by Nov. 16.

Your tax deductible donations can be dropped off at the Amen House Mon.-Fri. 9:00 a.m. – noon with extended hours on Tuesdays until 3:00 p.m. and on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 9:00 a.m. until noon.  Do not drop off donations at the Parish Hall.

Silver Bells – The ECW will be participating in Silver Bells to collect gifts for nursing home residents.  New, unwrapped non-skid socks, individually wrapped snacks, word search and puzzle books, fleece blankets, adult coloring books, coloring pencils and pencil sharpeners are needed.  The deadline to have your donations at the Parish Hall is Thursday, December 5.  The Nursing Home Ombudsman Agency of the Bluegrass assures every resident will receive $25.00 worth of goodies.  Cash gifts are also welcome.  You can make a gift online at www.ombuddy.org, and select “Silver Bells 2019”.  Please mail paper and electronic checks payable to NHOA to 3138 Custer Drive, Lexington, KY.  40517

Blessings in a Backpack – K-5 books are requested to go in the children’s bags for Christmas.  A basket for the books will be in the narthex of the church.  Books are due no later than December 15.

Georgetown Child Development Children – Volunteers are needed on December 15th to package Christmas gifts for the GCDC  children.
