Collection for the Troops

The collection for our soldier, Kayle Snyder will be on Sunday, September 16 immediately following the church service.  Per Kayle’s previous correspondence, his list of “wants” for himself and the fellow soldiers that he shares his goodies with is as follows:  Pringles, Wild-berry Skittles, Cheese its, beef jerky, cashew nuts, hot Cheetos, Starburst candies, Cheese Puffs, protein bars, MIO (flavoring for water), cookies and of course, brownies.  Don’t forget the personal items also.  There is a need for suntan lotion, chapstick, white socks, puzzles and paperback books.

A big thank you to Marybeth Banks for co-ordinating the troop collection and getting the packages of goodies shipped out to Kayle.

Bishop’s Visit

The Rt. Rev. Mark Van Koevering, Bishop Provisional is scheduled to visit Holy Trinity on Sunday, September 30, with Confirmation and Reception.  Make plans to attend church that Sunday as we welcome Bishop Koevering to Holy Trinity.

Pictorial Directory

The time to schedule photo sessions for Holy Trinity’s pictorial directory is almost over.  We still have two more weeks for you to schedule your time if you haven’t already done so.  The 150th Anniversary of Holy Trinity will be in 2020 and this directory will be in preparation of that celebration.  We want all of our members to be included in this directory.  Life Touch will be taking parish photos on Monday, September 24 and Tuesday, September 25 from 2 p.m. – 9 p.m.   Parishioners and staff will receive an 8×10 photo of their choice free of charge and that photo will be published in the church directory. Additional photos may be purchased for a fee.  Feel free to invite your friends and family to schedule a photo session during this time.  They may purchase photos without being in church directory.  Directory committee members, Elaine Jones and Marybeth Banks are available to schedule sessions on Sunday, September 16 or you may contact Donna at the Parish Office during the week to schedule your session.

Indian Summer Camp 2018

On October 19-21, the Camp and Conference Board and the Diocesan Young Adult Commission will once again host Camp Indian Summer

at the Cathedral Domain.  Designed exclusively for adults, this retreat will offer participants the opportunity to engage in creative worship, yoga classes, guided meditation, and various fellowship programs as well as all the outdoor activities the Cathedral Domain has to offer.  While the event is billed as a “Cathedral Domain Homecoming,” we also hope it will be a chance for friends, newcomers, and the uninitiated to experience the Domain.  All kids over the age of 21 are invited to attend.  The cost is $140.00 but scholarships are available upon request.  Online registration is at www.cathedraldomain.org.
