News and Views from Mother Karen

Dear Holy Trinity,

Worship services for the Christmas season were wonderful! The church looked beautiful and the music was so lovely and engaging. Thank you so much to everyone involved in preparing the church – it takes many hands, many gifts, many talents, given to the glory of God to make such special services. Thank you to the Altar Guild, Acolytes, Lay Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors, Intercessors, and Ushers. Thank you to everyone who greeted visitors and welcomed them into the service.

We have more special services coming soon, which means more opportunities to serve. Ash Wednesday is only a month away and then, before you know it, Holy Week will be here. This year we will celebrate the Easter Vigil on Saturday night and then celebrate new life on Easter morning. Many hands, gifts, and talents will be needed for all of these services- please prayerfully consider how you can help out.

Maybe you want to learn how to serve the church in a new way? Do you want to offer the chalice at the altar rail? Sing like a angel in the choir? Welcome newcomers as an usher? Lead the congregation in prayers as the Intercessor? Please let the church office know.

I continue to keep you all in my prayers.

Yours in Christ,

Mother Karen

Inclement Weather

In the event of bad weather that includes ice and snow storms causing the roads to be dangerous, be sure to watch the scroll on the local T.V. stations for cancellation information.  While we rarely cancel our Eucharistic services, we may opt for Morning Prayer service.  Please be careful on the roadways if you choose to drive during inclement weather.

Church Office Closed

Please be advised that the church office at the Parish Hall will be closed on Monday January 15 in observation of Martin Luther King Day.  If you need assistance or have a pastoral emergency, please contact Mother Karen on her cell phone at (904)955-7922.
