June 15, 2010 It is with both great joy and sadness that I need to inform you of my resignation as rector. Over the past several months, my wife, Siobhan and I have been hoping to find the right type of work opportunity for Siobhan. After being unable to find a position in central Kentucky, it became evident that we needed to expand our search to a wider geographical area. As of today, I am excited to announce that she has accepted the position of Assistant Professor of Photography at Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, Virginia. I am overjoyed for her and think both the position and the college is a good match. With Siobhan taking this new position, it has become evident that I must end my time here as your rector. I have been with you for almost two and half years now, and Georgetown and Scott County has become our home. But, overall, I feel the best thing to do is to transition into this new part of my family’s life journey. Know that Siobhan and I care for each of you. We will undoubtedly miss you after we have departed. My last Sunday with you will be July 25 at which time I will take vacation in order to relocate to Lynchburg. My final day as rector will be August 31. Until then, I hope that we might take advantage of our remaining time together to say some heartfelt goodbyes. With sincerity and faith, The Rev.
