June Bunco

The Bunco Babes of Holy Trinity met in Lexington at the home of Sharon Horner on Tuesday, June 25.  The theme was Celebrating America with everyone wearing red, white and blue.  The Bunco Queen for the night was Kay Snyder and Jan Edelen had the most buncos for the night.

Birthday Celebration

You are invited to come celebrate with Nancy Anderson on Sunday, July 7 at a reception held in her honor immediately after church services as she celebrates 90 years of life, 71 years of those being a parish member at Holy Trinity.

This reception will be potluck with finger foods preferred.  There is a signup sheet on the center table in the Parish Hall.  Please sign up at your earliest convenience or call Donna at the Parish Office with your potluck choice.

Newcomer’s Dinner

The Senior Warden of Holy Trinity, Steve DeBolt, will host a Newcomer’s Dinner at his home on Friday, July 26 for all newcomers to Holy Trinity.  More information on this welcoming event will be forthcoming at a later time.

Production of Mamma Mia     

Once again, the talented Ian Ferrell will have a starring role in the production of Mamma Mia at Leeds Center of the Arts located in Winchester, KY.  The dates are August 9-11 and 16-18.  Bill Jones will be coordinating a convenient date with Ian for a group from Holy Trinity to attend.  When arrangements are made, Bill will communicate information to the parish office so tickets can be purchase.  Fair Warning, this production is a little more than PG and may not be appropriate for children.

Parish Retreat at Kanuga

Save the date and start making your plans to enjoy a 3 day retreat in the mountains of North Carolina at Kanuga.  Kanuga is nestled on 1,400 mountain acres centered around the 30 acre Kanuga Lake.  The purpose of a retreat is to relax, reconnect with ourselves, each other and the Holy Spirit.

October 18 is the arrival day at Kanuga.  That evening after dinner, we will have a Compline service with guitarist.  On the schedule for October 19 will be fishing, canoeing, cards, etc and an evening activity.  Breakfast, lunch and dinner is included of course.  On October 20, following breakfast will be a worship service.  You can head home or tour the area.

Family and friends are welcome to go to retreat, however, pets are not allowed at Kanuga.
