Godly Play

Godly Play is based on Montessori principles, the Godly Play method serves children through early, middle, and late childhood and beyond.  The Montessori method helps children learn through listening, creating, imagining, and discovering.  Godly Play invites children to play with God and with each other, by exploring and wondering about the sacred stories, parables, liturgy, and rituals.

A copy of the Godly Play fall schedule is available at the parish office and is posted on the bulletin board in the narthex of the church and the parish hall.

Godly Play needs donations of bags of individually wrapped Halloween candy for 125 children from the Georgetown Child Development Center.  The class needs the candy by Sunday, October 6.  Any donation would be appreciated.

Godly Play is also in need of adults who are interested in helping in the following roles:  teacher, doorkeeper/assistant, and special guest for crafts or activities.  Please consider volunteering for one or two Sundays per semester.  Please contact Denise Placido at d.placido12@gmail.com if you are interested or feel free to stop by the classroom on Sunday from 11:15-12:00 and sit in on a lesson.
