Festival of the Horse and the Blessing of the Animals

On Sunday, September 9,  Blessing of the Animals will take place at Holy Trinity at 1:00 p.m. followed by the Pet Parade.  All creatures great and small are invited.  Each animal will receive a St. Francis medallion.

The Festival of the Horse kicks off in Georgetown on Thursday, September 6 with the Fireman’s Chili Cookoff at 6 – 8 p.m.  followed by live music from Swing Street at 7-10 p.m. on Main Street.  Friday, September 7 the booths open downtown at 4:00 p.m.  The Colt and Filly Parade starts at 6:30 p.m.  There will also be live music from Kentucky Storm and Jericho Woods at The Square.

Saturday, September 8 the carnival will open in the City Hall Parking Lot.  Live music will be provided throughout the day.  Toyota’s Grand Parade of Horses will start at 5:00 p.m.
