The Diocese of Lexington has reserved a booth at Lexington Pride Festival Saturday, June 29 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Holy Trinity has been invited be a part of the Diocesan support for Pride Fest to show all that the Episcopal Churches truly welcomes everyone.

When & Where:

Pride Fest is Saturday, June 29 from about 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Please feel free to park in the Cathedral parking lot on Upper Street on the Gratz Park Inn side. Be sure to display the orange Cathedral parking pass on the dash board (available at the Welcome Desk) so you don’t have to pay or get a ticket. The Diocese will have a security person only until 12:30 at their Welcome Desk in the Cathedral to hand out parking passes. Pride Fest is at the Courthouse square complex,120 N. Limestone, just a block from the Cathedral.  The exact location of the Diocesan tent has not been confirmed at this time but there will be will a Diocesan banner across the front of the table.

If you would like to volunteer to work in the booth, you can come anytime, the more the merrier.  Volunteers are also needed at 8:45 a.m. to put water bottles in the coolers, set up folding tables and cart everything to the booth.   If you have any questions or are interested in volunteering please call The Rev. Brent Owens at 859-221-9965.

Holy Trinity still has t-shirts available in the office to show what church you are from.  Donations for t-shirts are suggested.

4th of July Parade

Holy Trinity will not be competing in the float competition this year, as we have no place close to town to decorate.

We appreciate everything Turner Summers did to provide a wagon for us to decorate. While the hay wagon was the perfect size, we had no place big enough to store it.   All the barns that we considered were too far from the parade site to pull the wagon with decorations on it.

Holy Trinity will have a decorated pick up truck for the children to ride in and throw out candy.  We will need 3 volunteers to carry the 4th of July banner and 3 volunteers to carry the Episcopal flag, the Kentucky flag and the American flag.  We also need as many walkers as we can get wearing our t-shirts with our new logo.  If you have a child or grandchild that would like to ride in the parade or if you would like to volunteer to carry the banner, flag or just walk, please let Donna know at the parish office as soon as possible. We will be decorating the truck at John Worsham’s home on Wednesday, July 3 at 6:00 p.m.  All help would be appreciated.

We must be in place by 10:30 a.m. on July 4 as the parade starts at 11:00 a.m.  Line up will be on College and Military Streets.  There will be no designated spot for us as line up is on a first come basis.
